Titles

Well, I didn't intend on doing a post tonight (also see: this morning) but I just stopped writing on my essay for the night and I have some steam left over that if I don't take advantage of will surely pass by morning.

Something that has always fascinated me are movie titles. Or maybe just titles in general. I love titles that are really catchy so I'm making a list of some of my favorites. In no particular order. Let's do this thing.

1.)

I can't say I cared much for the movie (I didn't) but it definitely had one of the most eye-catching titles.

2.)

The Up of emotional contentment? The Up of moving on? The Up of a house lifted by thousands of balloons? It just works.

3.)

I bet they had themselves a party when they thought of this title.

4.)

How catchy is that? It's so freaking catchy. It kind of rhymes, but not in a gay way. How's that for cover art by the way? I pre-ordered this game on the basis that it has an amazing name.

What number am I on? I have to scroll up to see. It doesn't even matter I suppose.

#something:

THE PIGPEN

I so do adore this animated short. It's one of those things you wish you have been the maker of.

Speaking of which...

This title is almost too good to be true. I could make love to this title.

Jurassic->dinosaurs. big. chaos.
Park->playground, fun.

Jurassic Park: A big playground for dinosaurs that ends in chaos. It's too good. Too good I say!

Next up:

This documentary is about a man who sets out to make a historical documentary about Sherman's March to the Sea, but ends up just filming girls he meets along the way. It's his tragic path to misunderstood destruction. It's his own personal March for which he will never receive the praise he deserves.

And in the same boat:

This is the film I am writing my essay on right now. It's a documentary about a mentally challenged man who is (perhaps) falsely accused of murdering his (perhaps) incestuous brother, Bill. Fun film, right? Anyways, "brother's keeper" is taken from, well:

And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

That's a damn good title.

Okay I'm sure there's more but I think I've had my say anyhow.

Any titles you find captivating? Share them here!

Back from the dead.

I'm one to take opportunities when they involve getting the old gang back together for one last go at the old time blog.
Anniversaries are the best dates for reunions.
1 year doesn't seem so long ago.
yes it does.

Lets see if I still remember how to do this....

It is funny to go back and read all of the things we posted before. To see mainly what was occupying our minds that day.
for me it was always some book or movie or tv show.
there's always something.
and sometimes I felt I did a pretty good job and touched on some pretty good topics.
I have two favorites actually. (May I offer them up for submission to the "Bloggies Awards")
1. A life in sight
2. Brother of All

I like that I can write things and know people will have read them. Back when we posted all of the time this was pretty good.

I'm remembering what it's like to write these and balance all the expectation vs. reality of how I planned it to go and how it is ending up. (I intended a more casual and typical post....now we're getting a recap/ epilogue-ish post)

So here's the facts.
This blog is a time capsule.
It's contents are precious and worth wile.
It could always hold more.
But it will always keep what we have shared.
