Then I see it. And now you do -->
So I start to think about Brotherhood. I think about the concept of brotherhood and what it means to really be a 'brother.' Now we all can get a good chuckle when we hear brother and we think brotha. But lets not focus on that context of the word. What I'm talking about what you see in that picture. What do you see?I see a group of guys who are each entirely their own person but also seamlessly connected with the people around them. Now we're talking. (sidenote: Avijar, if you ever stumble upon this, I hope you are accepting of my classification of you as a Brother. I honestly consider you as such, well maybe a part timer.)
While brothers have a sibling-goodness that has its unmatchable times of highs and lows, I consider the brotherhood to extend beyond. Friends, This is you! Considering how we have spent so much time together and had our fair share of brotherly experiences and growth, I am glad to know what great friends we are. Also seeing that we are an all male team it makes my classification work even better. Now lets talk memories. For my own brothers this post comes on a very well timed night: The ER series finale. If there is one American bond my brothers and I share it is our love of TV. This camaraderie is most likely engraved in us during the early Saturday hours spent watching our shows. Back then its just Tv. But over the last few years I'd say its become a bit more. With Patrick especially some of the most "bonding" times have come during our epic ER marathons or our delight in the latest Lost mystery( or the Lost reference made by Mr. Weiss earlier that day.) Then of course there's those other shows that once I went away to college I realized I only really watched as part of this TV hangout time. But above all ER was definitely the show that we all followed while still living under one roof. Why? Probably because Patrick liked the show, and it was TV. So its nice to be in such a nostalgic mood on such a coincidental night.
My friends don't worry, I did not forget about you. Actually now that I think of it the best example of our brothership(brotherhood+friendship) is this very Blog! Well it's the easiest example as well(again...American..gotta live up to it.) I know there are times upon times of Curb Rebel moments that help bring forth the Brothership™ and those are all great times. We really have ascended to a level of solid friendship. So this glowing tribute to all my brothers, to all my friends, it is a tribute and a thanks.
